The school of Engineering at Memphis University proudly announces its official launch in September 2026 (Fall 2026) a courageous step toward shaping a new generation of engineers equipped to lead in an era defined by rapid technological advancement, sustainability imperatives, and global transformation.
Built upon a forward-looking vision aligned with 2030 national priorities and 2050 global development roadmaps, the school is designed to be a hub of excellence in education, applied research, innovation, and community service.

The School of Engineering at Memphis University is the perfect platform for launching an academic policy that establishes a globally outstanding institution for the 21st century. It is scheduled for an official launch in September 2026 (Fall 2026), under the leadership of its Dean, Prof. Ismail Mohammed Hafez. This milestone represents a significant step toward advancing the University’s vision of academic excellence, innovation, and global engagement in engineering education.
The School is designed to offer a collection of five forward-looking, state-of-the-art undergraduate programs that respond to the evolving needs mutually of both industry and society. These are:
1. Intelligent and Sustainable Civil Engineering
2. Digital Architecture Engineering
3. Communications and Computer Engineering
4. Mechatronics and Intelligent Machines Engineering
5. Electrical Power and Renewable Energy Engineering
Each program integrates strong theoretical foundations with applied learning, digital transformation, sustainability principles, and interdisciplinary approaches to prepare graduates for the demands of the Fourth Industrial Revolution.
The academic structure of the school is based on a minimum duration of eight semesters (144 credit hours). To qualify for graduation, students must achieve a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.0 and successfully complete supervised field training, ensuring meaningful engagement with real-world engineering practice.
A key strategic priority of the school is to attain both national and international accreditation, thereby aligning its academic standards with globally recognized benchmarks of quality and excellence. In parallel, the school will actively pursue strategic partnerships with leading international universities to establish joint and dual degree programs, facilitating student mobility, knowledge exchange, and global exposure.
Furthermore, the school is committed to encouraging a dynamic ecosystem that supports innovation, research, and entrepreneurship. It aims to cultivate graduates who are not only technically competent but also capable of leadership, critical thinking, and contributing to sustainable development at both national and international levels.
